Saphire theme- adding graphics

  Can anyone point me at anything that will give more details of how to add a “Custom Image Header” to the Saphire theme which I believe is possible. I have tried a few times and just end up with my text on a black background. Is there any special format required for the graphic ? I have tried both .jpg and .gif

  after you upload the image, it will take you to a page showing you the image and asking you to crop it.

  you have to draw a box, and then stretch the corners to the edge of your image, otherwise it will crop everything, and leave you with a black image.

  FWIW the size is 741 pixels x 171 (not including the black border) and 760 pixels x 180 (including the black border).
