Satellite theme not installing

  I’m unable to install the Satellite theme on my self-hosted site.

  The following error message comes up:

  Unpacking the package…

  Installing the theme…

  This theme requires a parent theme. Checking if it is installed…

  The parent theme could not be found. You will need to install the parent theme, scrawl, before you can use this child theme.

  Theme installed successfully.

  I already installed the “Scrawl” theme (https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/scrawl/) But I still get the same error.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  We provide support only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs and that site is not one of them. It is a WordPress.ORG software install and you are posting to the wrong support forum.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

  Hi jhaykage – Satellite and Scrawl aren’t yet available in the WordPress.org directory.

  We’ve removed the Satellite download on WordPress.com for now, since we need to get a technical issue sorted before we can release it.

  If you still want to try to use the version you already downloaded, you’ll need to change line 10 in Satellite’s style.css, from this:

  Template: scrawl

  to this:

  Template: scrawl-wpcom

  The alternative to the above change is to rename your Scrawl folder itself, from scrawl-wpcom to simply scrawl.

  The issue has been fixed by editing that line in the style sheet.
