Save & Continue Editing – Problems

Ok. this is a workaround… but try at your own risk.. I deleted the page I want to change and wrote a new one with the same content I want. Works for me.

I am also having the same problems, error on page and not able to save.My pictures are not aligned and the text is highlighted in blue

Me too :-(! Trying to fix/create pages and it is SO frustrating!!! Once in a while, it works…but 99% of the time (these past few days), it is not. A few times, I actually deleted pages and started new becasue there were things that had to be changed. I really, really hope it is fixed soon!

I found out that I have to delete a page a few times before it gets deleted.. Hmm… any of the staff looking into this?

It doesn’t look like anybody from WordPress has replied to this thread since the 22nd. Not very impressive guys. How about throwing us a bone???

The page editing and saving problem has not been fixed for me. I have lost a substantial post several times now and am giving up. My blog is http://eve3.wordpress.com/

Still having problems this morning: First I couldn’t save anything, then I couldn’t save or publish anything, and now I can’t even edit anything!

I’m not sure if this is related or not, but I have a bunch of users (Administrator type) who when they try to edit new or old posts, nothing appears in the text box. They are unable to type into it until they log out then log back or, or in some cases, reset their passwords.
Anyone run across this? -
I’m ultra frustrated right now. I’ve been trying for two hours to save a new post and everytime I hit ‘save’ or ‘publish’ the formatting goes awry. All my indents, line breaks and text sizing and color just change. Its like the IE editor is playing a jedi mind trick on me! Aaaargh!

Okay, I half got it working by rewritng the whole thing in the editor as opposed to copy-pasting from word which would have saved me 10mins (I type slow, whatever!).
Its still getting funky but to a lesser extent (It won’t recognise that I want to seperate two stanzas so I had to put in some imaginative touches to make it work and its created huge gaps between lines.) -
Unless you use the “paste from word in the advanced toolbar on the wordpress.com visual rich text editor, that will virtually always be a problem.

I’ve been having the same problems as many contributors here for the past day or so. As I type this I appear to able to edit and have no problems with NEW posts, but I lost a lot of work on a post I wrote yesterday because changes I made in edits did not appear, and in the end I had to give up on it and delete it.
I wrote a new post later that day, in the link below, but after I had posted it on my blog changes I made later in edits would not show again, and also some text in it had somehow been given hyperlinks, which I didn’t want. It looks very sloppy at the moment, but if I try to edit this post then the edits STILL won’t show up at all!

Are you using Safari or Opera at all? There have been a few compatibility issues with both browsers at WP.com and I’m just wondering if that might be causing some of it. Might be worth trying it in a different browser anyway, just to see if you have the same problems.
Otherwise I think you’ll need to contact staff when support opens as you’ll need backend access to fix the problem. Hope you get it fixed, that sounds borked to say the least!

Thanks for your help, but I’m just using Internet Explorer 7.0. As I type this, it appears to be just that post that I can’t edit, I seem to be having no problems with new posts, but then that problem didn’t emerge with the last post until I was an hour or so into writing it.
I have contacted support about it. I’ll let you know how things turn out (or they will? Sorry this, is only my second forum post!).
