save blog as a PDF

  Hi there,
  I want to save my holiday blog with photos and comments as a PDF so that I can save it onto an external Hard Drive to always have. How is this done ?

  Hi Peter, I don’t know if there is a way to do this natively in WordPress (I searched the support section and didn’t find anything) but you may be able to do this on your own by using “print to PDF” functionality.

  Here’s one way to do it:
  1) use the firefox browser
  2) download & install the add-on called Cute PDF Writer
  3) restart your browser
  4) go to your blog, find the holiday blog post, and click on its title so that you have the post opened in its own window. The url would be something like kleinfamilyholiday.wordpress.com/2012/12/31/holiday
  5) In your browser menu choose to print, and tell the system to use Cute PDF Writer. It will generate pdf of that blog post for you to use as you like.

  There are a lot of print-to-PDF applications out there, so even if you don’t use Firefox you should be able to find something that will work for you.
