Save Draft button wiped out my post
-
I just spent hours on a post, then, foolishly thinking the “save draft” button would somehow actually SAVE MY DRAFT, I clicked it. Now the entire thing is gone. Is there anything I can do to get it back?

The module isn’t showing up, which I assume means the autosave didn’t work either. Thanks anyway.

Yes, I did that. It’s enabled, it just isn’t there when I go to edit the post. Apparently all that saved was the title.

It is good to save drafts early and often. It is also good practice to select all and copy before saving a draft.

I thought the autosave feature was saving it often, since it kept saying “saving draft” at the bottom, but apparently not. I won’t make the mistake of typing a post directly into WordPress again, but I spent hours on the one that was eaten and it’s really frustrating that I can’t recover it, especially since trying to save it was what caused this mess in the first place.
