Save draft keeps freezing

I’ve been trying to update posts for the last few days and I can’t because every time I hit the “save draft” button, the site freezes.
I have tried on multiple computers, using multiple browsers. I have cleared the cache on all machines and tried again to no avail. Once in a while it will work and I can get a change in, but for the last 4 hours solid…no changes.
Any suggestions you could offer would be great. I can’t post anything because I can’t make changes. :(

I just checked and I can’t actually publish posts either. Even though I can’t publish or save posts, it does appear that I can save pages.

And I ran through this post and tried all of the suggestions, and they didn’t work.

In all three cases, you’re using an outdate version of Firefox. The most updated version should run on all 3 machines, so would you please try updating that to the latest (currently 7.0.1)?

I did the updates, but still no luck. There was about 20 minutes yesterday, around 10pm EST, when I was able to post but then it stopped again.

I did try that yesterday and no change. I wasn’t able to save my post changes earlier today, but it does seem to be working now. Although I’m afraid it will stop again because I haven’t done anything different.
As an interesting point, I can save page changes even when I can’t save post changes, does offer any help?

I’m in the US. To add to the bizarreness of it all…I am able to save posts this morning and I’ve noticed that I only seem to have trouble between the hours of 11am-10pm EST. This is happening on 2 completely different networks (not even the same internet provider). I think it would all make more sense if I couldn’t save across the board, but when posts don’t work, pages still do.

Can you try a few more things for us?
1. Does clearing your browser’s cache and cookies help?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies2. Can you check to make sure you have third-party cookies enabled on your browser? (It sounds like you already do, but best to double-check!)
3. Are you using any type of firewall/antivirus/proxy on your computer?
Just to confirm, you’re encountering this time out error on different networks, but on the same computer?

Last Friday when you posted your response, it had been working for the couple of hours before hand, so I didn’t clear the cache or cookies. It seems to have been working for the last couple of days, but this morning at about 9:45am EST it stopped again. I was able to save a post update about an hour later, then nothing again. So we’ll keep trying if you don’t mind. :)
1. Cleared cache and cookies this morning when it stopped working.
2. I double checked and they are enabled.
3. One of the networks does have a firewall. It’s a company firewall so I can’t temporarily disable it to see if it makes a difference. This is the network that I was able to use for a little while this morning, then it stopped, then it worked, now it stopped again. The problem is occurring in both networks and the other one does not have a firewall.I am on 3 computers. The mac and the PC are in the same network and the macbook is in the second network. All 3 computers saved and updated posts for most of last Friday, over the weekend and this morning.
