Save draft – post appears in recent posts.
-
I saved a draft of a post, and now it is appearing in the “Recent Posts” on my front page.
It should not be accessible to anyone yet.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
What is the URL of the blog? http://www.themontaukgroup.com/ is not a WordPress.COM blog.
-
sorry .. it asks for it when you post now, thought it included it automatically.
http://blog.themontaukgroup.com/
I dont think you can get to the actual post, but I don’t think it should be appearing at all until its posted.
-
It shouldn’t. For what it’s worth, I only see one post in the Recent Posts widget, Banks boost fees to foil low interest rates. If you’re looking at the Preview, however, the new post might show up in that, but not on the actual live blog.
-
Yes, that is the post in question. Why is appearing there at all if I have not made it live yet is what I am asking,.
-
Interesting. I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the way you’ve got the widget configured. Change it so it displays three or more posts, and see what happens.
-
Strange, all I had to do was reset the post count in the recent post widget.
Well that was easy at least.
-
You’ll get a better response from readers with around five in the Recent Posts widget. More than that is too noisy, fewer than that looks like there’s no much there.
