Saved a non registered URL to my site and have now blocked access to the account

  Ok, so this is an involved problem I have masterfully manifested with my unparalleled stupidity, so bare with me.

  I was trying to change our paid for url http://www.corewerks.com to the free wordpress url of http://www.corewerks.wordpress.com. I did something really stupid though and now there is a serious problem.
  I signed into the account and went to the general settings and changed the url to http://www.corewerks.wordpress.com and saved it. The website then asked me to register this name. When I went to register it asked me to log in. When I tried to log it it says that it does not exist because the url is not registered. So because I saved my settings to a url which is not yet registered it now will not recognize my account when I try to log in.
  For some ridiculous reason I assumed that the account had originally been signed up with this default free wordpress url so I thought the transition would be flawless.
  I have no idea what to do now. I had to create a new account and register corewerks.wordpress.com so I could post here.
  So simplified here is what I did and what has happened
  Logged onto http://www.corewerks.com as admin
  Changed and saved unregistered url of http://www.corewerks.wordpress.com
  Was not able to log into account
  Created new account to register http://www.corewerks.wordpress.com
  Still cannot gain access to the original corewerks.com account.
