Saved sites and plug ins

    Hello, I have cancelled my subscription with 123-reg recently and as a result, cannot access the sites I previously designed. Will I still have all the plug-ins I previously purchased such as Divi? Will I still have the layout I designed and saved? And is there a way for me to continue designing without a domain name?

    Hi Matt,

    You’ve posted to the support forums for the hosting provider, WordPress.com. We can only help with sites that are hosted on our servers, and as your site were hosted at 123-reg, it means they were not hosted with us.

    If you cancelled your hosting plan with 123-reg, that would also take offline any sites that you had hosted with them, and unless you kept your own site backups, or 123-reg still have backups of your sites on their servers, those sites are now gone. That’s what cancelling hosting does.

    Please contact support at 123-reg directly for help with this.

    That’s a question for the companies and/or developers where you bought those plugins.

    And is there a way for me to continue designing without a domain name?

    For a website to be online it must have a domain, and it must be hosted on a server connected to the internet.

    You can also run the WordPress software locally on your computer on a virtual server, but such a site cannot be accessed from the internet.
