Saved widgets in Appearances but they won't show on blog

Can anyone help with this issue? I went to Appearances, put in the widgets under Sidebar 1, and saved, but nothing will show up on my actual blog. I use the Circa theme which says you can have up to 3 categories of widgets.

Not sure if you have solved the problem but I will respond.
I see you have widgets displayed on your Circa theme. They appear when I click on the gear.
Do you know what widget you were trying to add?
Sometimes, if you switch browsers (to Chrome or Firefox) the issue seems to resolve itself. Also, if you are running an older browser try upgrading here (www.browsehappy.com) or disable browser add-ons.
If you do any of the following does it resolve the issue? -
What I’m trying to do is have the widgets displayed in the sidebar instead of having to click on the icon. Is this possible?

I believe it is theme related. Try switching to Twenty-Thirteen theme and see if that does anything different you might agreeable.
