Saving a blog theme layout?

    Hi, I am thinking of changing my blog’s theme to a new one. I am wondering if it’s possible to save the current layout of our blog i.e. all the widgets put in place in case I want to revert it back? It would be a nightmare doing it all manually so I’d like to know if we can save it into a template or something in case I want to change it back. Thanks!
