Saving button on my site has been greyed out for some time

  I have changed Site Visibility settings to ‘Allow search engines to index this site’ after a long build of over 50 articles. How long will WordPress take to create the site map? It has been working for over 2 hours now? If I go to move off the page, I get a warning sign… ‘You have unsaved changes. Are you sure you want to leave this page. Am i simply being impatient or is it stuck in a loop? Many thanks for any advice you can give. Mike

  We build the xml sitemap (used by search engine bots and the like) almost instantaneously as you create new posts. You can view it here:

  http://jampartnership.com/sitemap.xml

  If you’re talking about using the Sitemap shortcode, all that’s needed is for you to publish the page to which you’ve added the shortcode. The sitemap from that shortcode isn’t built while your page is in draft, it gets built upon publish and refreshed over time.
