saving edits before publishing

    I’m new to wordpress and need some help. I want to make changes to a published page but I don’t want to publish the changes to the internet until later. I don’t see an option to save the changes. Autosave is turned on but when I leave the page my changes are not saved. I don’t want to click the update button because that will publish everything. How can I save my changes and publish later.

    For an already published post that’s not possible. The only way to save changes on a published post is to update the post, making the changes live. It works that way no matter which editor you’re using.

    The only way to save changes without making them live immediately is to remove the post from your blog by setting it back to draft and then only republish it once you’re done making all your changes.
