Saving Error on My WordPress Website
-
I’m receiving the error message below when I try to save my work on my website.

I spent several hours messaging with and troubleshooting with my hosting company. They had me deactivate, try to save, and reactive each plugin. That didn’t work. They can’t resolve the issue and suggested I get in touch with Divi which looks like the theme of my website. I contacted Divi and they won’t help me until I purchase a membership with them. But I don’t need a membership with them.
Does anyone here know how to help with this error?
Thanks for any suggestions,
Debbie

Hello Debbie,
It does look like this could be a hosting issue, not a theme issue. The server has an upload limit, and so this would need to be adjusted. Out of curiosity, who is the hosting provider?
With or without membership, Divi, looking at this error message would most likely refer you to the hosting provider, to increase the upload limits to the server.
I’d say it puts shopping around for a hosting provider onto the table for you…
WordPress.com has lots of users who use Divi without a hitch (I for one, have never had to increase a customers upload limit when using this theme), and it’s possible to move a site from the current hosting provider to WordPress.com, easily with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpcom-migration/.
A business plan at WordPress.com would need to be in use here at WordPress.com, in order to run Divi.
As an aside, you may wish to become a member with Divi, mainly because there’s theme support directly from the theme developers if you need it, as well as automatic updates… (Just food for thought there.)
I hope this is a useful suggestion for you.
I hope this helps.

Hi aleone89,
Thank you so much for your reply and suggestions. I appreciate you taking the time.
After many hours (and some tears), I was able to get things fixed. I worked with my hosting company, Divi, and a tech-savvy guy who found a few errors on my website and fixed them.
Not being tech-savvy myself, I had someone create my website years ago. It does seem like it’s time to revamp a few things. When I’m able to sell more books and bring in some income, I’ll definitely look into making some needed changes.
Thanks again. You take care.
