Saving Microsoft Word document in OPML
-
I’m trying to save a Microsoft Word document in OPML to link to my blog, with no success. There is no OPML in Word Save As and I”ve tried other web formats without success. Can someone please advise. Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

As far as “linking” it or putting an OPML file into a wordpress.COM blog, it doesn’t appear as if that is a supported file format.
You could host the file somewhere on the internet and then provide a link to it.

I read the acceptable file formats and saved the file in .pdf and tried to upload and get the same massage, “Please upload a valid OPML format”. So I’m not sure I understand what’s going on. Regarding hosting the file somewhere on the internet and providing link, can you suggest easy sites I could use? Thanks for bearing with me, as you can tell I’m relatively new to this stuff. Thanks, jim

I’m trying to upload a Microsoft Word document to my blog in WordPress, I’ve saved the document in a .pdf, .xps, .rtf and open document formats, none were successful.

You cannot display an MS Word document directly within your blog. You either have to put it into a post or page (copy and paste using the “paste from Word” icon on the lower toolbar that looks like a rectangle with a “W” on it) or you will have to use scribd to embed it.

If you just want it to be available for download, you can upload it to the media library and then put a link to it within a page or post, or into a text widget in the sidebar.
