Saving my husbands blog

Hi, my husband recently passed away, he poured his heart out into this blog writing on his beloved Italy and verona. I was wandering if there was anyway we could save/preserve the blog for future viewing without fully renewing the membership. It is something the whole family wishes to look through for years to come. Any help would be greatly appreciated

What is the full URL (so we can click on it) of your husbands blog? We need that to give you accurate help

First off, I just wanted to say how sorry I am about your husband’s passing. Secondly, it looks as if he registered a free wordpress.com site. This site will remain available for viewing as long as wordpress is around. You don’t have to worry about renewing a domain since his site is a free site. I hope this helps. Have a great evening.

@mgalbritton – we need the URL of the blog – the op makes reference to paying for something – they might have a custom domain name – or they might not even be hosted here on WordPress.COM – your answer might be useless or even dangerous to the husbands blog
@petefrutta – do you know what upgrades your husband had on his blog?

The link is above. Thank you both so much for you help. I am not the most tech savvy person, so any help has been greatly appreciated. I am unsure of any upgrades he has done. It says ‘do you want to update to premium’ so I’m assuming it was just a free membership? The reason i am worrying is that i have received emails that we need to renew our membership. We just want to be able to view it into the future online. Thank you

Thanks for the blog link – the staff can look at the blog and see if there are any upgrades on that site – there does not seem to be any custom domain name and that is very good
What do the emails say about “membership needs to be renewed” – that is an odd term for WordPress.COM – I have some upgrades here and don’t remember the emails ever referring to “membership”

I have confirmed this is a 100% free site, without any upgrades to renew. It will be online indefinitely unless you decide to take it down. I hope that helps.
