Saving/Restoring data into a new installaiton

Hi. I need help with a big, but unusual problem.

Somehow, the MySQL-database seems to have lost my passwords. I only get ‘Error connecting to database’ (in German, but that’s the message).

I do have a full back-up of all files that were on my server.

Does anyone have / know a way to recover the postings (and especially the database data) from the back-up in a way hat I could import it into a new installation of WordPress (if I can do that, I’d be fine with deleting the whole installation and re-installing everything…)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
