says the account was never registered but the page is up

WordPress does not recognize my username or account. I had to create this account to contact support. The account i am having issues with is torchexperience.wordpress.com. I received an email asking to verify my email address via (email visible only to moderators and staff), which I did. I have tried account recovery but i never received any of the proof of ownership options listed. I even tried to re-register but now the domain is taken (by me, of course).
The url is thetorchexperience.wordpress.com

the original username is thetorchexperience. When use that the username it won’t let do anything, including reset the passward

Hi there,
I think I’m a bit confused as to what’s going on. I do not see an account with the username: thetorchexperience or the site: torchexperience.wordpress.com.
You can create a new account by logging completely out of WordPress.com and signing up for a new account under the username thetorchexperience. Then you can create a new site as well.

There was an account created under the username thetorchexperience. The url for it is active at http://www.thetorchexperience.wordpress.com.
I also have the transaction ID for the account becuase we paid the extra $18 to have it end in .com or .org. I tried to use the account recovery process but there has been no movement on that. I can provide you that information if need be.
