Says .xml file is not .xml when importing from Xanga

importing from Xanga, says .xml file is not .xml file. I don’t know how to make it more .xml so WordPress will recognize and import it?

Hi there – Xanga typically gives you a number of .xml files in a .zip file. Make sure to unzip the .zip file and import each .xml file separately, one at a time.
If that wasn’t the issue, please let me know.

Sorry for the slow response and thank you for your help! I did unzip them (actually downloaded it twice thinking perhaps the first .zip file was corrupted or something) and I tried importing them in different order, tried each one separately, etc. It gave me the same response each time, that they were not .xml files, even though I could see they were! I just tried it again hoping it was just a fluke, but it gave me the same error.

Hi there – Could you please try the same thing in Chrome or Firefox and let me know if you have the same problem there?

Hey, it worked fine in Firefox! I was using Internet Explorer previously. I should have known better! Thank you so much for figuring that out!
