Scam or for real?

Is the whole “you have been nominated for the very inspiring blog award” thing going around a real thing, or is it fake? Something seems fishy about it.

It’s not necessarily a scam per se, but it’s not worth anything particularly either. Normally, people use this to get you to post a badge on your site, one that links to their site. That’s why people invent these awards.
