Scheduled post completely disappeared
-
I wrote a post last night and scheduled it for Sunday. I wanted to edit it today and it’s not there. It wasn’t in the trash or anywhere else. Is there any way to recover it?
I read here that it takes a visit to make a scheduled post actually post, but the post I scheduled for this morning did post on time. If it takes a visit to the blog to get a scheduled post to make it to the blog, what’s the point of scheduling it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The way scheduled posts are triggered for publication is by the first visitor entering the site after the scheduled date and time and that cannot be changed. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/#troubleshooting-scheduled-posts

I see that Today Starts The New Diet has been published http://martidiy.wordpress.com/2015/01/02/today-starts-the-new-diet/
It appears below the sticky post Welcome to Marti’s DIY http://martidiy.wordpress.com/2015/01/01/welcome-to-martis-diy/ which will always be at the top unless you change that visibility setting.

Right, the posts that are on there now are just as they should be. A post I wrote last night is gone though. I was wondering if there was a way to get it back?

Hello there,
To locate draft POSTS Dashboard > Posts > All Post > Drafts
http://martidiy.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=postTo locate draft PAGES Dashboard > Pages> All Pages > Drafts
http://martidiy.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=pageProvided you did not create the post in the new Beep Beep Boop editor where it’s saved only on your browser, and is not auto-saved to the servers for your blog you may be able to recover a lost post or page.
If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/
See also if applicable > restoring from trash http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash(If you are referring to a Page then see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-revisions/)
I recommend:
1. Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
2. Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
3. Immediately after creating a post and entering a title click the save draft link. Thereafter, “click save draft” frequently.
4. Always allow pages to fully load before clicking any other links.
5. Never leave a post or page open for content creation or editing and walk away from it, or open another tab in the same blog and work on something else while it is still open. Save it properly and return to edit it later.
6. Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/If you cannot locate a revision or restore from Trash then the content has been lost and cannot be recovered.

I think it was from the beep beep. I clicked the pencil in the top right corner of the tool bar. I thought they were the same thing. It’s definitely not in the dashboard. Oh well, it couldn’t have been too important, I don’t remember everything I wrote in it.
