Scheduled Post Not Showing Up
-
I have a post that I accidentally changed the time stamp on, but now it won’t show up. I “scheduled” the post to show up as of yesterday, but it still doesn’t come up on the blog. I’ve read in the forums to make sure to click “publish,” but all I see is an “update” button since the post was previously published. Can anyone offer me any advice?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. In order to assist you, we need the URL of your blog, starting with http:// please. Thanks.

Sorry- I thought the URL automatically showed up. The problem actually resolved itself. It finally showed up a few minutes ago, I don’t know why there was such a delay. Thanks!

The scheduled posts timing is related to the timezeone you set up here > Settings > General The default time setting for wordpress blogs is UTC time (formerly Greenwich mean time) and that page is where we change it to our own timezone. Sometimes there is a time delay before the post published.

@jalr
Also it seems no matter how many times you are asked you fail to post the URL for the blog in question? Why is that? We Volunteers want to provide correct answers to questions so we ask for the URL for verification purposes. wordpress.com and wordpress.orf run on different software and 30% of those who post to this forum some days are posting to the wrong forum. Please link your wordpress.com blog to your username. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes. Then every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. -

Sorry once again. When I typed the question there was a box at the top where it asked which URL my question was regarding, and I put in my URL. I incorrectly assumed that it would automatically post the URL since I listed it there in the box with my question.
I like to keep my blog semi-private, which is why I don’t link it to my username. Like I said, I did intend to post the URL with my question though.
Thank you for the advice- I checked and I did have the correct time zone, so I’m still not sure what caused the delay, but I’m glad it finally posted.

Only Staff and the support bot can see the URL you typed into that box. We Volunteers cannot see it.

I’m having somewhat the same problem. I made some corrections on a post, and tried to publish the corrected version, but the “publish” button is gone, and there is a date and time showing for a future “update”. How can I get rid of this “scheduled” publishing time and get the system to just publish it now?

Look here please and study the second image so you know gnat to do when you edit the post and change the date/timestamp.. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/
