Scheduled post published late
-
I had a post scheduled to publish this morning at 1:00am. The activity log says it published at 5:40am instead. The Automattic Status page says that WordPress.com service has been operating normally throughout the last 24 hours. What happened?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, from my experience, the most common reason on why this occurs is your blog being set to a different timezone than the one you are actually in. Could you please confirm if this is the case?
Learn how to do so: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/time-settings/
Thanks! :)

Hi there,
Of what site are you speaking? The site at http://leeyaray.wordpress.com/ only contains one post, published in 2015.
Scheduled posts need to be triggered before they actually publish. They’re triggered by the first visit to a site after the scheduled time.
On a site that gets a lot of natural traffic from search engines and regular visitors, there is almost no delay as a result, but on newer sites that are still building their traffic a delay does sometimes occur.
