Scheduled Posts
-
I scheduled a post last night, for the first time using your new posting form and it did not post on time. Also, I need to change my time setting from Mountain Time to Alaska Time and don’t know where to do that? However, I did schedule my post for 10:00 Mountain time (8:00 Alaska time and it didn’t post then)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
You can change the timezone for your blog here:
https://rigzenchomo.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php
Regarding the post in question, it looks like it was published four hours ago (it’s 1:42pm MST when I’m writing this) as shown here:
That would seem to indicate the post was published at 10AM MST as it was scheduled to here:
Please note, in order for the post to publish, a visitor must visit the blog after the time it is scheduled to be published. Could that be the missing key here?

Thanks. I succeeded in changing the time zone. Still don’t understand the scheduling – Is it being scheduled for the Reader? As when I got up a little after 10 a.m. And most of my followers get me through e-mail. So, it’s still a bit confusing. I really thought it would work the way Facebook posts do, when they’re scheduled they show up in the feed. So I thought when this was scheduled it would show up on my page and be e-mailed out. Please just clarify, so I can see if it will work for me.
Thanks. -
HI!
When you set the time for your post to publish, it’s set to go at that time. However, in order for the post to actually be published, someone needs to visit your site. So, if you have a post scheduled for 10AM, but no one visits the site until 10:05AM, it won’t publish until that time. Does that help to clarify?
