Scheduled posts don't post

    Hi,
    let’s say I schedule a post for 9am on a Saturday. It doesn’t post on its own as it should, at least not most of the time (I don’t do anything differently).

    Instead if I, let’s say an hour later at 10am, go to the website then it hasn’t posted anything. If I hit the refresh button it posts. And it actually POSTS then because I have it connected to facebook and it posts there at that time too, at the exact time I refresh. The posting time on fb says 10am.

    I don’t have to be logged into wordpress for it to work so my guess it has something to do with the facebook connection, since it worked on my phone a few days ago and I’m not logged into wordpress there.

    The whole purpose of scheduling a post is to NOT post it oneself at the time/date, so this beats the whole thing.

    Hi there,

    Scheduled posts do not actually publish until a visitor clicks into the site after the scheduled date and time. When you refresh the page it probably counts as a first visitor after the scheduled time, and the post actually shows up.

    Ah! Thank you so much, well that defeats the whole purpose of a scheduled post for me since I really do need it to be published at a specific time. What a bummer.
