Scheduled Posts Not Posting with Set Time Zone

  I have gone into settings and set my time zone as Central Time (Chicago). The local time listed is always correct. However, when I schedule posts, they are posting at the wrong time. I set one to post this morning at 7:30, and it went at 9:30. What am I doing wrong?

  Are you aware that scheduled posts do not actually publish until there’s a visitor to the blog? That’s what triggers their publication.

  Wait, really? Is there a way to change that? That doesn’t make any sense to me.

  How am I supposed to draw readers to my blog with a new post, if in order for it to post, I have to draw readers to my blog?

  I’m not trying to come across angry or ungrateful for a free blogging platform. I just genuinely don’t understand the logic here or how I am supposed to use the service if posts don’t post when I schedule them.

  I’m sorry but that’s the way it operates and there’s no way that you can change that.
