Scheduled posts not Publicizing
-
When creating scheduled posts, Publicize is not sending them to my connected services (Facebook, Tumblr, or Google+). Manual posts are being submitted fine.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. Scheduled posts don’t actually go live the moment they are scheduled, but they are triggered the moment someone visits your site after the scheduled time. Publicize links also only go out at the moment the post is triggered, not at the scheduled time.
Scheduled posts will be triggered by the first visit to your blog on or after the exact date/time you set. If you see that the scheduled time has come and gone and your post has not published, simply log out of WordPress.com and view your blog’s front page. Your visit should cause the post to appear. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/
If they still don’t go out even after someone visits your site, let us know.

Alright I just followed the instructions above and my scheduled post still did not trigger. Please advise further.
The blog I need help with is taniaknowsbest.wordpress.com

The latest post I can see on your blog was published yesterday, “How to look awesome for your wedding photos”. I assume you’re referring to a post that was supposed to publish today?Please go to Posts ->All posts and check if the post shows there as published, scheduled or draft. If it show as “Draft” you might have forgotten to press the Schedule/Publish button. If it says “Scheduled” click on Quick Edit and make sure you inserted the correct date and time. If it says nothing it should be published. Check if you haven’t perhaps accidentally set it to private.
Let me know what you find.

Yes, I checked everything and besides I contacted someone a tech support yesterday to make certain I had the correct date/time scheduled. He confirmed that everything was okay – so I don’t know what happened and why it didn’t publish as it should have. So I went ahead and ‘published’ the post manually myself.
I’m very confused about how scheduled posts work. My understanding of a “scheduled” post meant it should publish at the time/date you specify regardless if someone visits your blog. Why does someone need to visit your front page in order for it to appear? That doesn’t make sense.

That is just not the way it works. Regardless of what you wish, it just doesn’t happen that way and never has. You need to focus on the way things do work and learn how to use that; if nothing else, visit your blog via phone to trigger the publication.

@raincoaster…you failed to understand what I was getting at and missed my whole point. Are you a member of tech support team? If so, the tone of your response to me is very negative and as such doesn’t represent good customer service on WordPress.

@taniaknowsbest
I can understand that you’d expect it to work that way, I did myself at first, but as raincoaster pointed out, it doesn’t and there’s nothing we can do about it.If you schedule a post again and it doesn’t show up even after you visit the blog while logged out, let us know as that might be a bug. As you’ve published it yourself now it won’t help to tag this for staff as they won’t be able to see the problem now.

@kokkieh…Thanks for your assistance. I’ve contact tech support and they were very helpful and pleasant with me (can’t say that for the forums though)….anyway I told him I’ll keep a watchful eye on it next time. Sorry for the inconvenience and the trouble, but I’m fairly new to blogging and WordPress in general and so the rude comment really threw me for a loop.

My tone is only negative if I’m a member of the support staff? This is incorrect. My tone is negative, period, because what you wish of WordPress.com is not the case.
