scheduled posts publish at wrong time
-
I keep selecting 08.00 for the scheduled time, but the blog post goes live at 8 pm. My understanding is that posts were supposed to adhere to a 24-hour clock. Has this changed? Any ideas what I haven’t selected?
I have the settings as 24-hour clock under Settings > General. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hmmm … . To schedule a post in the PM, you will need to use the 24-hour clock. But you have done that.
Scheduled posts do not actually publish until the first visitor to the blog after the scheduled date and time clicks into the site and triggers purblication. Is that what happened here?

Don’t think so. I get regular traffic. I just find that the post is showing up on all my Facebook, etc. feeds in the evening when I set it to show up on the morning.

Subscribe to your own blog by email, you will then know when a Post is posted based on when you get the email, that is a good check for many things and ills.
If it is that your Facebook thing is 12 hours off, I have not a clue as I don’t do faceplant

Thanks all! I think I found the problem and that was the time was set to 24 hours ahead under Settings > General. Not sure how that happened, but once I set back to my time zone, I was able to select 24 hour clock. So fingers crossed that the next post goes out as expected!

The wrong time zone is the largest reason for “scheduled but posted at the wrong time” – glad you found that – good luck – I have found the scheduled Posts to work well and use it regularly on my site
