Scheduled posts publishing immediately

When I work on posts by following the posts link on the my sites page, and schedule it to publish in the future, it published immediately and sends a notification to my followers.
This doesn’t seem to happen if I edit the post via the dashboard page – any suggestions about what’s going wrong, and is anyone else having the same problem?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, the New Post button is seriously flawed and we are recommending people not use it at all until it’s fixed.

Using the dropdown menu in the Dashboard seems to be doing the same thing. I scheduled two posts today, and both published immediately, even though one was set for tomorrow, and the other for about eight hours from now.
My blog is http://thebluntinstrument.wordpress.com. I don’t think it’s just me, though, judging by the post above.

When I schedule a post to be published in the past, it publishes immediately and with the current date and also post to Facebook. A short time later it seems the posts are adjusted to the preferred date but now the Facebook link is broken. So annoying…..

In fact I have read threads from those experiencing this issue who were using the classic editor on their dashboards and from others who are using the new Beep Beep Boop editor http://wordpress.com/post/. That’s why I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Do you have any trouble if you write, schedule, and publish the posts via the classic editor at [your-blog]/wp-admin/posts.php ?

I haven’t tried it yet, but I need to come up with a new post for tomorrow, so I can give it a shot. But not until tomorrow morning. Three posts in one days is a bit too much. :P

Yes, please do give that a shot. We do know it’s an issue with the new editor, and I sincerely hope it isn’t an issue with the classic editor too (so far, it doesn’t seem to be).

I’ll make a point of using the classic editor in the meantime but hopefully this is addressed shortly.

I set up a post tonight in the classic editor and it seems to have scheduled. I’ll have to wait until tomorrow morning to see if it posts on time.
Something else the new interface is doing is listing the scheduled post as going live at a certain point in local time, but actually posting it at Pacific (?) or Mountain time, whichever it is. As in, I set a post to go live at 2pm my time, and it is actually posted several hours later.
