scheduling a future post

  when I schedule a blog post for a date in the future, it publishes it immediately. why is this happening and how to fix?

  That should not be happening. Confirm that your timezone setting is correct.

  Know that scheduled posts do not actually publish until a visitor clicks into the site after the scheduled date and time.

  To confirm your timezone is correct know the default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here Dashbaord > Settings > General. Select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu you see there and then click “save changes”.

  EDIT: Go to http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php

  *You will have to replace NAME_OF_BLOG in the URL with your actual blog’s name.

  You can edit the post and change the datestamp and timestamp and click update. These images may be helpful:

  Thanks but the date stamp is not the issue. I checked that and it is correct for my area. Does anyone else have any ideas?
