  I am a photographer. I would like to know how to set up my site to allow clients to schedule a time slot appointment to have their pictures taken at an event.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  There is no theme here designed for that but you can use a public Google calendar and put that up, and clients can add events ie appointments in that.

  I’m afraid there is no feature built into WordPress.com sites that achieves this goal. Here are some alternatives.

  1) Move your site to a self-hosted WordPress.org install. There are several appointment plugins you could use on a self-hosted site (here’s the difference between WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/)

  2) Use Google Calendar Appointments: If you use Google Apps, you may be able to set up an appointment calendar there and embed it in your WordPress.COM site. The downside of this is only clients who also use Google calendar will be able to set appointments.   3) You could use a third party appointment scheduler (like this one http://www.setmore.com/) and link your calendar to your WordPress.COM site using custom menu options: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links

  I know none of those options are ideal, sorry that I don’t have better news :(
