Scheduling Posts

For the last two days I have not been able to schedule a post. It will not allow me to change the date or time at all. Is anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it?

Hi there,
I’ve added “modlook” tag in sidebar for staff assistance. Staff will soon help you.
Sometimes users also faces this problem due to some browser issue. I recommend you please follow the steps mention in the article to clear the browser cache: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
Please also go though this article: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
Hope this helps!

Hi @reynoldstrisha17, are you using wordpress.com/post or wp-admin? Also, are you having the same issue in multiple browsers?
-
I have figured it out sort of. It is h
Google Chrome that I had the problem on. When I switched to Microsoft Edge there were no issues at all. -
@reynoldstrisha17 can you let us know what version of Chrome you were using, and also whether you were using wordpress.com/post or wp-admin? If there’s an issue we’d like to duplicate it here so we can fix it.

Honestly I am not sure. When I write my post (or copy and paste) and after I’ve added categories and tags when I go to the calender it won’t let me change the date or time. It says that it’s saving but it never actually saves. I have no idea what the difference between wordpress.com/post or wp-admin. I have Google Chrome version 62.0.3202.94

Also what are you pasting from?

I am using the https://wordpress.com/post. And I am copying from my email html posts to be shared from authors and or their promoters. After I switched from Google Chrome to Microsoft Edge I haven’t had any more issues. Should I be posting from the admin area instead? I am fairly new to this and am just pretty much winging it. I appreciate any insight or help you can and have given.

@reynoldstrisha17, no worries. WordPress.com/post should be working just fine. I asked whether you were using that or wp-admin because they are different, and I want to be sure I’m troubleshooting the right one.
Can you confirm what version of Windows you are using? We’ll see if someone with a matching computer here has the same issue.
Also does this only happen when you paste content, or if you start a new post are you able to select a schedule date?
Thanks for your feedback. As long as your browser is current and standards-friendly, it should work, so we’ll want to fix this issue.

I am using the newest version of Windows 10. I’m not sure if the recent update had something to do with Google not working correctly. So far it seems no matter what I post it won’t let me schedule unless I’m on a different browser.
-
Thanks, I’m asking my colleagues who have similar setups to test to see if they get the same issue.
In the meantime, can you please check to see if you have any extensions enabled? You can find them here. You’ll need to copy and paste this into your browser address bar:

Just as an update, I just heard back from a colleague (they’re fast!) and they are able to schedule posts in Chrome + Windows 10.
So I am guessing there’s an extension issue.
-
I do not for wordpress. Just docs, Google docs offline, sheets, and slides. There is nothing else enabled on extensions

Okay so I just tried it again and now it is working? I’m not sure what was going on. Thank yo u so much for all your help.
-
@reynoldstrisha17 ah, I still don’t know why it wasn’t working for you before, but I’m glad it’s working now!
-
Okay so I have no idea want a going on. I tried c&p of a html post and it wouldn’t work. Bit if it is a standard text post it will. I think I will just switch everything over to Microsoft Edge from here on out. Thank you.
