Scheduling posts for future publication
-
I typically publish two posts per week, one in English, one in German. When I schedule them for a future publication date, I usually choose a publication time only a few minutes apart. One usually gets published about an hour before the other, and I don’t know why. This is a problem, because I include a link at the end of each post to the other post in the other language, but when they are not published simultaneously, the reader cannot read the other language version right away.
How can I assure that both posts get published at the same time?
Thank you.

Hi, I don’t exactly know the solution. One thing you can do is publish both of the posts manually at the same time.
If you’re not fully satisfied, you can add the “modlook” tag for further help from staff.

Hi there!
Thanks for reaching out. So, sometimes if you schedule a post for like at 12:00AM, it may publish around 12:03AM, as that is what I notice when I publish blogs.
You can view this support doc, which will make you learn more about scheduling posts.
Please reply if I misunderstood or you have further questions on this topic.

Thank you. I used to publish posts manually, but at times it is more convenient to schedule them for a future date.
I have never scheduled a post for midnight, but have tried to vary my times. I usually schedule the two posts a few minutes apart, but they get published as much as an hour apart. -
Hi there!

— Then, you may want to publish a post a few minutes than at the exact spot in case it may delay late.
as an hour apart
— please don’t schedule lots of posts for the same time, this may also be another issue.

NOTE: Please read the relevant support doc:
Scheduled posts do not actually publish until the first visitor to the site after the scheduled date and time clicks into the site and triggers publication of the scheduled post. https://en.support.wordpress.com/schedule-a-post/

Thank you, timethief, this was helpful. I had no idea that the post actually needs to be triggered!
