Scheduling posts not working

Not sure if this has been fixed or not, and apologies if solution has been posted — forums are huge. For some reason, every time i’ve tried to write a post then designate a specific time/date (in the future), the post never shows up. I have a corporate blog via wordpress where this is a real issue; so I’ve been experimenting with a personal one i just created (legatolounge.wordpress.com) — still no luck .. thought maybe it was a time synchronization thing, but can’t tell .. I saw in previous forum postings this was also a problem back in July/Aug 2007 … has anyone been having similar problems? Any advice? Thanks a lot …

Are you publishing the post? Even if you set the post publish date to the future, you must “publish” it. If you just click “save” then the post is kept as a draft (unpublished).

WordPress keeps track of the date and time and makes it live at the time and date you specify.

  • legatolounge, your blog doesn’t have any future posts scheduled, but there is one draft. tsp is probably right.

Success!! Thanks … Now i just gotta figure out how to change the default *time* in my write post page — i’m on the East Coast and right now it’s 10:30 am … however, the timestamp in the far right hand area, where I schedule the post says 14:30 / 2:30 pm

Go to settings > general and you can set your offset from GMT/UTC. I think it is -4 for EDT. WordPress runs on GMT.
