Scratchpad Theme Comments
-
Unless you click on the title of a blog post and view the individual post, there are no links to comments available on the main blog page itself. In fact, on the individual blog post page, you have to scroll right down to the bottom to find the comment area.
Is it possible the theme can be amended to put a link at the top, maybe alongside the date, in order to leave a comment? As is the case on the Toujours theme I use on other blogs.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ve changed the template back to Toujours, but it would be ideal if the problem could be fixed.

Hi there!
The location of the comments link is a design decision on the theme. (The comment boxes are found at the bottom of the post pages.)
It can be a good spot for the link, since a person is likely to comment only after reading the post (and then they don’t have to scroll back up to find the link). But if the comment link at the top works well for you, sounds like Toujours is a better fit! :)

If they’ve reached the end of the post, the comment box is there, there is no need to scroll back up to go to the link, to go back down to the comment.
The point is, that at first glance it appears there is nowhere to comment, neither does it show that comments have been made. OK people find the comment box when they get to the end of the post, but personally, when I return to a blog I’ve already read, I check the comment link at the top to see if there are any new comments, then click to go direct to the comment, I don’t expect to have to scroll all the way down the post.
Shame about that one little design oversight, because it’s a nice theme.

Yeah, I know what you mean. :)
It’s a total personal preference thing, so since the link placement is important to you, I’d keep an eye out for where it is anytime you’re checking out new themes, since it varies.

If you have extra questions, please open up a separate thread on these forums. This makes it easier for us to help out and also makes sure that Shana doesn’t continue to receive email notifications on this thread. :) I’ll mark this thread as closed, as the original question was answered.
