screen goes blank

Hello,
I’m trying to build a new blog. I’ve paid for a hosting package and i’ve mangaed to import my metadata. I’ve successfully published new material and all seemed fine.However, i want to create a customised look for my blog and so decided to upload some wordpress themes to my host server. I’ve also managed to do this pretty successfully … only trouble is that some themes just fail to work. I’ve FTP’d them across, i’ve selected them on my WP dashboard, but when you look at the live page the screen is entirely blank.
Some themes work perfectly, some not at all. Confusingly, the list includes some of the most popular themes, such as sandbox,
any idea what could be wrong?

Sorry, you are in the wrong forum and need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that blog is self-hosted and self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported there.
This is the forum for people hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently and our answers typically will not work for you.
