Screen Vibrates in Post Editor
-
I went to edit a post and the whole screen just vibrates off and on sort of violently. It is incredibly distracting.
The video doesn’t capture how crazy it looks because the human eye picks up so much more detail. It seems a bit like a deck of cards being shuffled at high speed.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, I noticed that the post editor screen vibrates in my account too! I think this might be a bug. I have added a modlook tag to your post.

Thank you @ngfangkiang, it is good to know it is not just me.
I got dizzy and experienced minor nausea while trying to edit a post earlier. For now, I will have to take a break.

it’s happening to people on our team, mainly with chrome browser, yesterday we thought it was fixed by updating grammarly or disabling grammarly, but it kept on happening today.
We are on WP 6.6.2

It sounds like you’re experiencing a glitch with screen vibrations while editing posts on your blog. This could be due to a browser issue, conflicting extensions, or a bug in your website’s code. Try clearing your browser cache, disabling extensions, or using a different browser to see if it resolves the issue. You could also update your browser or check for any problematic scripts in your website’s theme or custom code. If the issue persists, contacting your hosting provider or platform support for further troubleshooting might be necessary. Let me know if you need more help!

I’m seeing this too since updating to the new version of WordPress and WPBakery yesterday. I don’t get the issue when I switch to the default WordPress editor, so I’m thinking it’s a WPBakery issue with the new version of WordPress.

@ismaelgonzalez2017 and @makaiproduct We can’t help as your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform but is self-hosted. You must head over to the forums at wordpress.org.

As of now its unusable in Chrome but Edge or IE or whatever you call the MS browser. That seems to work ok. I’m sure they will have an update soon. I prefer Chrome over Microsoft…
-
you are right that the new version and Grammarly and Chrome are not working well together. I don’t plan on not using Grammarly and I assume they will figure out what in 6.7 is conflicting in Chrome and Grammarly…

Accepted answer
I experienced the same problem with Chrome. It started yesterday.
I switched to Microsoft Edge today to see if that would work and fortunately, everything works fine. And I just disabled Grammarly on Chrome and tried my WordPress editor and now the vibration is gone. So, it does seem to be a problem with Grammarly.

I am glad to see the community coming up with solutions. It’s nice having a forum where we can discuss the platform.
I suspect posting this Reddit would have gotten a bunch of snarky comments telling me not to use WP(com). Not the most helpful of places.

Thanks to everyone for helping out here! I will mark this as resolved as it is not related directly to WordPress.com and the workaround is to update or disable the Grammarly Chrome extension.
