Screenwriting Format
-
I want to post script dialogue that is properly formatted like a screenplay with the correct spacing and indentation. For example, the speaker’s name is indented to the left, and the dialogue is indented to the right. When I use the indent button in the visual editor it indents the whole line — both name and text. If I use tags it results in double-spacing. I’m looking for single-spaced, single-lined, indented script. How do I achieve this?

Hitting the Enter (Return) key will end the paragraph you are writing and start a new one. If you want to start a new line without creating a new paragraph, press the Shift key while hitting Enter.

If you do decide to upgrade to a WordPress.com Business Plan, you will have the option of installing third party plugins, such WP Fountain by screenwriter John August.
It will convert your text into a screenplay format. Here’s more information on the plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-fountain/
