  I have 4 Scribd documents that I am trying to embed into a post. On the 1st doc I pasted the url into the Scribd embed block and it worked perfectly. But it didn’t work on the 2nd Scribd doc, it just shows the URL address. I tried using the Scribd WordPress option to copy/past the short code using a shortcode block. That didn’t work either. How can I embed the other Scribd docs on my post?

  Hi there,

  Can you tell me the URL or title of the post where you’re trying to embed the docs?

  Are you trying to embed by just pasting the URL on a new line in the editor, or are you selecting the Scribd block first, and then pasting the URL in the block’s URL field?

  Good morning!

  Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

  The post is still a Draft. The title is: Early County, Georgia, Property Tax Digests: Freedmen Records. The link is: https://geneajournalsbyapearl.wordpress.com/?p=1057.

  I selected the Scribd block and pasted the URL in the block URL field. That worked for the 1st Scribd doc, which is embed in the draft post. I followed the same sequence for the 2nd Scribd doc, but it didn’t work….only the URL of the Scribd doc appeared in the post.

  After several failed attempts using the Scribd block I followed the instructions at https://wordpress.com/support/scribd/ which involves using the shortcode block. This did not work either.

  Thanks for the details. But I see at the moment there’s only the one Scribd block in the post. Can you add the second link in so I can see the problem in action?

  Or alternatively, can you share the links you’re trying to embed here for me?

  I went back into Scribd and although it appeared that my other pdfs uploaded successfully, they are not showing up on my account. Looks like I have a Scribd conversion failure and that’s why the URL is not working in the Scribd block. I will contact Scribd support.
