Scribd embeds are down – code changed itself

  My Scribd embeds are down. The Vod:Pod embed code changed itself. I posted it again but that did not help. My scribd embeds have been fine for weeks but not anymore. In this post I also added a docstoc version so that the post still functions.

  How come the Vod:Pod embed code for Scribd documents is not reliable anymore?

  This code change make me worry. I wonder if WordPress.com have cancelled this feature? Would embedding Scribd no longer be possible?

  Maybe they changed or blocked the code because it was insecure or it was causing other problems. The best thing to do is ask support directly when they reopen.

  Yes, a feedback would be the next step. But surely WordPress.com would inform their bloggers if they cancelled a feature?

  I don’t know about the security argument. The documents from Scribd comes in an Adobe Flash Player just like slideshows. One can have documents in a SlideShare slideshow. There is no difference. All slideshow sites work on full screen features and SlideShare expect to have them soon. This was going to happen anyway.
