I’d like several house photos to scroll every few seconds. Is there a way to do this?? Thank you for any help.

Hi there, Dyad has a featured content slider that is described on the Dyad Theme Showcase page (scroll down to Featured Content Slider). You can create posts and add a featured image to them and assign a tag to them (something like “featured” and then go to Customize > Featured Content and type that tag name in and save. They will appear in a slider at the top of the blog page. You would have to have your main page set to show Posts though for this to work. You can see how this looks on the Dyad Demo site.

There are a number of themes that have post sliders at the top. Some of them are auto advance, and some of them are not. It is not possible to add that feature to a theme that does not have it. That would require editing of the theme php script files, and we cannot do that at WordPress.com.

You can also explore our themes with post sliders here. We currently have 75. Not all are auto advance. You can look at the demos to determine which are and which are not.

Superhero is a free theme with an auto advance post slider. If you are concerned with the text that shows over the post featured images in the slider, that can be hidden with CSS quite easily.

Would it work for the entrepreneur theme?

Hi, entrepreneur does not have a slider feature. The image content at the top is static.

How about the feature on the website I posted below, did they freeze the header?

Hi there – the website you posted above is not hosted by WordPress.com, so it’s not really a relevant comparison.

Sounds like you need to search the WordPress.com theme catalog for post sliders as @thesacredpath suggested earlier in this thread.
