Scrolling Paging
-
Good day. I wrote to you yesterday. I got a partial reply from jerrysarcastic, but I would like to ask for a clarification. So far, I have about 40 posts on my blog. Ultimately, there may be up to 2000 of them. Now 5 posts are loaded and the ‘more’ button appears. But I have concerns that if someone ever gets to post number 2000, the whole site will work very slowly because of loads of graphics above. It happens to me today even on FB. Paging would be the best and faster in finding specific posts. Is there a possibility? Maybe a different template? Thanks

I would like to divide my front page to more pages . For example – I want to have 20 posts, than at the end I want to have a button to change page to second with 20 posts.

Hi there,
I see that your current homepage displays 5 recent blog posts, then the button to display more.
If you wish you can change that from
5to20here: https://wordpress.com/settings/writing/radioskarpy.wordpress.comThis will load 20 posts on the homepage, and then if someone clicks the button to load more they will be shown a page with 20 more posts.
Another option is to create a custom homepage using the “blog posts block” which also has the option to show a specific number of posts and then load more posts by clicking a link.
More info here: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/blog-posts-block/
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Hi @piechotadoraju, I’ve merged your two threads about this issue into one. It seems to have switched the order on your comments, so if you can reply to this thread directly going forward, rather than starting a new threads, you’ll get faster help and we’ll be better organized.
You can choose to paginate your posts instead:
https://wordpress.com/support/infinite-scroll/#disabling-infinite-scrollIf you are worried about overloading someone’s system when they look through 2000 posts in a single sitting, you might also consider using categories and tags, so your readers can more easily find what they’re looking for. Those pages can also be paginated or infinitely scrolled:
https://wordpress.com/support/posts/categories-vs-tags/And then you can add navigation to reach those items more easily.
I hope this helps!
