Scrolly thing on this theme (Curiosity Lite)
-
hello, I”m building a blog site at http://anyoldjoe.info using the curiosity lite theme…if you visit it, right underneath, right underneath the menu of pages (Home Sample Page) there is a button with my blog name and a “scrolly thing” with a post name on it…
How do I get RID of the scrolly thing?
Thanks in advance (I don’t know how to add my new blog address to the drop down in this forum post form)

The scrolling thing is an outdated HTML marquee element.
You can hide it using the following CSS added to Jetpack Custom CSS module.
.top-news-slider { display: None; }Or hide the whole section using this CSS:
.page-top { display: none; }By the way, could you post your question in the self-hosted forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forum/themes-and-templates or to the self-hosted Curiosity Lite theme specific forum at https://wordpress.org/support/theme/curiosity-lite
This forum is only to help WordPress.com users. As yours is a self-hosted WordPress.org based site, the right forum to get help is: https://wordpress.org/support/
WordPress.org forums require a separate account which you can create at https://wordpress.org/support/register.php
In case you haven’t got a chance to know the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org (self-hosted WordPress site), I encourage you to check it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
