search bar

I want to subscribe to my class’s blog, but when I search it does not come up. Is there not just a search bar somewhere other than search by topic?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The Explore Topics section of your Reader displays the subjects that are most popular with bloggers on WordPress.com.
The WordPress.com search engine indexes post, pages, and comments content (body text). Unless entered as text in those contents, blog name, post titles, and post/comment author names are not indexed. http://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpresscom-search/
That being said, if it’s your class, then why waste time with searching? Why not email and ask for the correct URL.

I have the url. I wrote in it. I put it in the topics search (the only search there seems to be from my personal account) and it doesn’t come up?
-
Of course it doesn’t. URLs are not categories or tags. Please read this again:

What is the URL?

I guess what I meant was, it would sure be convenient if there was a search option from ANY of my pages. Whether it be just a little icon in the corner or a bar on my blogs page, my reader, etc.. I just couldn’t find an easy way to search for blogs I wanted to follow than by topic. Thanks, though!
-
No. I still can’t find it anyway. My professor couldn’t either. But I was the 223rd post in it this morning, so I know it exists!

You can do that here > click http://wordpress.com/#!/read/topics/
and enter a topic in the box and click. -

What is the title?
What is the subject matter?
What is the name of the school/college/institution/university and the program?
Have you tried using Google search? -
why should i have to search in google for a blog on wordpress? shouldn’t i be able to search wordpress? it just doesn’t make any sense. i even typed in the specific title of my entry and nothing came up. url is mc4313.wordpress.com put that in too and nothing.
-
found it. thanks anyway. wordpress should really do something about that and make it a little more user friendly. no one in my class could figure it out.

I research and write for a living and have been doing so for over 30 years now. If journalism students cannot use Google to locate blogs here at WordPress.com then you need to give it a try because it’s faster and more accurate than the in-house utilities are.
-
It just doesn’t make any sense, but noted. I’ll do that from now on. I still think it would be great if that feature was available to users here on the site.
-
I’m sorry, I sounded rude. It doesn’t make any sense to leave a site to look for something on that site. I really like wordpress so far and want to learn how to use it. The search thing is just one of the features I thought could be better. I have other blogs and social media accounts, and that’s something that’s never been a problem for me. I can usually find what I’m looking for in a search bar provided by the site.
