Search Bar and Instagram Missing – Profile Theme

  I am trying to add the Search widget and the Instagram widget the right sidebar of the ‘Blog’ page of my site. I use the Profile Theme and I use a static homepage. I’ve dragged the widgets into the correct sidebars and set them so that they only show on the ‘Blog’ page, but they’re not showing up at all.

  I would be grateful for some advice on how to fix this.

  Howdy,

  Since the “Blog” page was set in Settings->Reading to be your Posts page, that overrides just about everything.

  In the widget settings, instead of setting it to be visible on Pages->Blog, change it to Pages->Posts page (at the top of the dropdown list). That’ll add the widgets to the “overridden” blog page.
