Recently, when I attempt to search for a word/phrase in previous blog posts, the cursor and and letters begin ‘jumping/flashing’ and I’m not able to complete the search. It will stop after a bit, but when I start typing again it starts up again. Thanks.

You are describing either a connectivity issue or a browser related issue.
Are you using a desktop computer and running an up to date browser version?
Are you using an app?
Do you have a dodgy internet connection?

Try using another browser.If you are not successful please provide this specific info:
(a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.

This problem occurs at multiple locations and on multiple Apple devices using Safari, Chrome, or IE. If there is a way for me to send a short video clip, I can show you the problem in action. Thanks.

Hi @frjohntoles, I’m currently on a Macbook Air with Chrome.
If I go to http://frjohntoles.wordpress.com/ and search the word for a page (I looked for “the” since I assumed it would be everywhere), everything seems normal.
What steps do I need to take to see what you’re seeing?

It occurs when:
– I am logged into my account
– Click “My Sites” in upper left corner
– I select “Blog Posts”
– I then click the “Magnifying lens” on the top line
– I begin a search.
– it goes cray ;) -

Wow, seems we’ve got a bug that doesn’t want to be caught: it took me a few tries to duplicate it, but I see it now. Only on your one site so far though. And still only sometimes.
Do you get the same thing if you search through your other site’s posts?

I haven’t used that one for a while, but it appears to be fine. Now this one appears to be working also.
