“Search blog” should include pages

The blog search option does currently not include the pages, only posts.
Eg. my blog is about studying in Australia, and I have created a “tips” page with practical info relevant to people who consider studying in Australia. This info source does not show up in a blog search.
The search option would be much more useful if it included pages as well!

Best bet would be to submit your suggestion via feedback but gotta admit that I don’t see it happening.

another suggestion would be to have the page with a title that basically tells what it’s about, so if readers are searching for such information they can tell by the title that it may be what they’re searching for.

There is a plugin that does this for wordpress.org sites (sites hosted off of wordpress.com.)
It really makes no sense to not have pages searchable.
Pages are part of the site. Why exclude them from search results?

That’s the logic as to why they’re not included. They sit outside of the posts so they’re not included.
