search box missing on dashboard

I enjoy searching for a variety of subjects on WordPress via the search that used to be in the upper right hand corner of my dashboard. Seems it is missing. Can I get it back ?

If you mean the search box in the menu bar at the top of the screen we have seen this happen if the window is too small. Try setting your browser window to the maximum size and see if the search field shows up. On a smaller screen this might not be possible. We are aware of the problem and looking into a fix.

Thanks I appreciate your replies. I have done all I can to no avail. One thing: With the dashboard page up … when I hit the ‘refresh’ button .. the search box show up very briefly in that gray strip that has ‘My Account’, ‘My Bog’ etc …. then disappears. Quite frustrating !
Anything ??

Not sure about how to do that. I’m not really up on how to change alot of stuff. Where do I go to try this ?
