'Search' button in header

  I’m using Chateau theme and would like to remove the ‘Search’ button (or is it a Widget?) from the top right of the page. It doesn’t seem to come up under Widgets or Custom Header, which are the obvious places, and I can’t seem to find it anywhere else.
  I’m sure this is very basic and I’m a numpty but I’d appreciate some help. Thank you.

  That searchbox is built into the header of the theme: you can’t remove it without the Custom Design upgrade.
  It’s not so basic, by the way: if it was optional (like it is in a couple of other themes), the place where you would disable or enable it would be Appearance > Theme Options.
