Search By Tag AND Category

  Hello,

  I’d like to add a feature on my site that allows visitors to click on tags they wish to search for posts by, but I also want this block/feature to only search for tagged posts under a certain category. On another page, I want people to be able to search by tags under several specific categories. How can I do that?

  Hi there, this isn’t possible with the regular search block on WordPress.com. https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/search-block/#what-it-searches

  There is an advanced search available through Jetpack which has additional features. You can learn more about that here https://wordpress.com/support/jetpack-search/ and besides the animation on that guide, you can see it in action on our own Support site https://wordpress.com/support/ and here in our forums search feature at the top of every forum page

  Hello there,

  It sounds like Jetpack Search is something you’ll find interesting:

  The reason being is that with Jetpack Search, you can toggle categories and tags to search through specifically.
